31.12.24 Timetable & Pricing Update

Hey all

We've revisited some of the decisions we announced in our last notice. After feedback from members and the board and re-evaluating our positioning, we have revisited the announcements made previously as we were able to come up with a way forward that did not financially impact our members or the club whilst maintaining training sessions to optimise our students experience with us

  1. Membership fees for existing members will not be increasing in January

  2. Our Monday and Wednesday classes are going to run from 6pm - 7pm and 6.30pm - 7.30pm, respectively, and the second sessions are going to pause for a while

  3. Our Friday classes are going to remain on the same timetable as before (6.30pm-7.45pm for everyone, 7.45pm-8.30pm as an advanced extension)

This means we're also not going to be offering kickboxing specific classes at this time, this is still something we're considering doing, but not right now.

Why the reduction in timetable?

Three main reasons, which I'll outline below. It is important to note that this is not necessarily permannent.

  1. These classes were not consistently well attended, so the impact to students is the smallest it could be. There are also very few students who will be disproportionately impacted.

  2. This move saves the club over £300 per month, which can be used to support the Club and its students.

  3. Finally, staffing. We have a small instructing team, and we have to be very mindful of fatiguing that team (including myself), especially with Senpai Flick and I expecting a newborn in April

Thank you all for your continued support, and I wish you the very happiest of new years! Matt
