Grading Day

Some quick tips for grading day;

  1. Ensure you are wearing your full Gi, which is cleaned and iron

  2. Bring an over-Gi (like a hoodie) which you wear whenever you're not training

  3. Make sure you bring plenty of water and any medication (e.g. inhalers) that you might need

  4. It is a good idea to bring snacks if you're grading for higher belts and may be sat around for a while

  5. Bring your sparring kit with you, if in doubt, bring it. Mitts and gum shield are mandatory. Head, foot and shin guards are strongly advised until orange belt and become mandatory at green belt

  6. Arrive with plenty of time

  7. Make sure you've practiced your syllabus and are totally comfortable with what you need to do

More notes

  1. We are unable to tell you when grading will finish or when specific students/grades will be done. We strongly advise that you do not plan to do anything at any specific time after grading.
